WHAT ARE ARC AND STREET TEAMS?

Join My ARC & Street Teams

Thanks for your interest in becoming part of my new ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) or Street Team! These groups are a way for us to connect more deeply, have some fun, and build excitement around the stories I create—while also giving you a behind-the-scenes look at my sometimes messy creative process.

Why Now?

The publishing industry—especially the Sapphic/Lesfic world—is evolving faster than ever. Remaining competitive takes more than writing entertaining stories; it’s about adapting, finding new ways to connect with readers, and creating spaces where we can engage beyond the pages of a book.

As part of this endeavor, you’ll:

  • Learn more about how publishing works.

  • Get early access to my books through ARC teams.

  • Join in on creative marketing and reader-driven fun through Street Teams.

  • Be part of conversations about current and upcoming projects.

  • Share ideas, feedback, and enthusiasm in a way that strengthens our community.

What’s an ARC Team?

ARC stands for Advanced Reader Copy—a pre-release version of a book given out before its official launch in exchange for an honest review. Traditionally, big publishers sent ARCs to industry publications, bookstores, and media outlets. Today, independent authors like me create ARC teams so that passionate readers can help spread the word when a book is released.

If you’re on an ARC Team, you’ll receive early access to specific books or series you love. I only ask that you share your honest opinion—whether you loved the book or not.

What’s a Street Team?

Street Teams are all about spreading excitement. Think of them as the cheerleaders, hype crew, and creativity hub for each series. Members brainstorm fun ways to get the word out—contests, games, themed challenges—like when readers spontaneously launched the “Taco Wars” during the Alex and Cassidy days.

The difference? ARC Teams focus on early reading and reviewing; Street Teams focus on creating buzz and joy. You can be part of one or both.

How It Works

  • Multiple Teams: Each major series (Alex & Cassidy, Candace & Jameson, Brooke & Tess, Carrie & Devon, Addy & Emma, Franke & Stein, Immortal Bloodlines, Whiskey Springs) will have its own ARC and Street Team.

  • Stand-alone ARC Team: For readers who enjoy my non-series books.

  • The Whole Gang: For those who want everything early.

  • You choose what works for you—no pressure, just participation when you can.

What I’m Looking For

Enthusiasm, honesty, and a willingness to engage. You don’t have to love every book. You do need to be respectful, authentic, and committed to keeping our community fun and welcoming.

The world feels heavy right now, and joy can be a radical act. That’s what I want this to be—something that makes both of us look forward to opening the next page.
